I had a wonderful day on Saturday! Thank you to everyone for reminding me what life is all about! Good friends, fun and BJDS!!
With 20 people and 64 BJDS, there was plenty of fun to be had.

Just wondering if there is any interest in getting this book into Australia.

It features artists from all around the world, including Helene from Melbourne.
I went to put in an order, and shipping for one book is like $32, but 2 books are $36. So just seeing if people would be interested in getting a copy.
Note that this book is in limited run, and will not be printed again after the end of May.
I'm in Sydney, and can take paypal. I'm sure it still would be cheaper shipping from Sydney than from the USA.

Thank you SO much to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) loki_angel for organizing a Doll Party at her house, it was great to catch up with old friends, and meet some new dolls.
This was the first outing for Kira, who had her face up done by helene_faceup. I've had her for over a year, but blank and now she got to get out and about.
It was great to meet Beryl, hooves and all.
No comments, just the pictures, as I'm totally tired. But I had a FAB time.

Yes, it's been a while since I have posted, and in that time much has happened, most not for the best, but life goes on.
The owners of the unit have decided that they want to sell, so we had to tidy up, BIG time, as well as get a storage unit to put things in. Not to de-clutter, but frankly I don't trust strangers walking though the unit, and seeing things they can put into pockets. And what I collect is none of their business, so I covered most of it up.
But there was some sunshine in the rain, I have floor, and some place to take photos.
A member on DOA contacted me about Morgan's KIPS joins, so while I had her out, I took some pictures, and I think htye turned out really well. It took a while to get used to the camera again. Even Tomoyo joined in the fun to show off her new outfit.

I've got a feeling that the unit is sold, first viewing was Saturday, so I think there will be house hunting in weeks to come, and I really like that the place is de-cluttered. But it also doesn't feel like HOME, just a unit I'm living in.
But it's nice to be able to take photos, more may even follow this week. |

Last Doll party at Cassiel's , WAHHH !!
And this was one of the BEST, with SO many dolls, so many people, so many BJD companies represented.
While setting up, Anabell decides to settle into "her" bed, yet to be named SDCute and Arisu (Yo SD) don't seem to mind.

Final shot, with ferrets (as the hamsters were packed away) for old time sake. Look at how far we've come, a pic from the first doll party, only Zafkiel remains in his entirety. Amii and Yuki have moved on, Mika's head is still around.

Wasn't too impressed with the display this year, it focussed more on the fashion students, and the display of the shoes was horrible.
Mine looked like they were thrown together.

Today was the end of a panic, I was told at Tuesday class that I had until THURSDAY morning to get my shoes ready for an exhibition at the TAFE gallery, called The Muse. I was previously told it was the following TUESDAY, so I thought I had more time.
So Tueday, I put some finishing touches on my fashion boot, and rushed home to get everything else prepared. So today, I put all the shoes in a bag, being 2 years of work, first year was exercises, rather than anything creative.

Yesterday we met up to say goodbye to Sean.
As Sean has 2 mini girls, (and I was catching public transport) I took only the little people.
I was probably one of the chattiest meets, and informative.
Vashti goes Super Saiyan !! Sean showed a new use for a tooth brush, as a comb. Having found one in my bag, just in case I needed one at work, no, it wasn't used, Sharon took to it adding the finish touches to her girl's hair.
Sally's Sweet Dreams Lucas, with a new do. Red suits him really well.
My fave group pic, for some reason, all my girls ended up in pink, and Cossette channels her inner Panda.
GOURMET CUPCAKES !! Yummy, must take photos before they get eaten !!
Sean makes a choice ....
A full size HNato shirt, would LOVE to work on a doll size version ....
Yes, I can fit a WHOLE cupcake into my mouth, but these things need to be savored, not rushed. |

A very hectic day, and in the end I only got 3 hours sleep, but I survived.
Cassiel organised a table to increase awareness of BJDs in Australia, and promote Resinality.
Here are Helen and Krishna manning, um, womanning the table.
If Hanael or Kashael were in their default outfits, I would have grabbed them to pose with Captain Jack, but Helen stepped in.
Everyone was admiring Morgan's shoes, and of course SHE gets her photo with the Celebrity, Nicholas "Xander" Brendon! Poor guy was totally jetlagged .... and someone should have told him that white people shouldn't wear pink ....
I missed this, but here are some crooners from the next day.
I think the kids will do cos-play next year, if there is another BJD table. |

Yesterday there was a meet up at kyashieru's house, which started off rather oddly.
Cassiel had requested me bring Morgan, as someone wanted a size comparison between the SD17 boy and SD16 girl. So Morgan came sporting her new outfit, ready to be set up next to Kashael, who wasn't looking impressed ....
Then she handed me the Dollfie Stringing Tool for Head part, and I looked at her oddly (which isn't usual for me) but she explained that it wasn't the height they wanted to see, but a HEAD SWAP !! So I only thought it was fair to show both heads switched, to be used later as blackmail photos for Kashael.

Some new clothes arrived quite a while ago, and I lost the camera with the cord you could plug in for a while. The new one eats up batteries like nothing else, to give you an idea, I got some new Kodak Alkaline 4 pack, and went though ALL of them at the Pirate Party, NOT IMPRESSED !
Yes, I need to find a brush ....
Anzumae got a new outfit, which I was HOPING would fit Jasmine, but there was NO WAY that would happen. It is a Tonner American Model outfit called Olive Cocktail, a little tight around her booty, but apart from that, no a bad fit. It fits a touch better if you tie the straps behind the neck.
The jacket even goes over her hands no problem.

YAY, had a lot of fun at the Sydney Doll Party yesterday, but forgot the camera, so only took a couple phone camera shots :).

Here are the FCS 26, um, twins ? Well, they are both F26, White, but one is SD13 and the other is SD10, almost ....
The whole crew, they all fit in shot!!
Giggle - Not the most COMFORTABLE of positions, but at least he stands up now.
And a little delivery arrived today, and he, um she, is just perfect !!
I've had a minifee Lishe for a while, but I just couldn't take to her. Perhaps because I have larger Lishe. So when Ruth came out, I thought he'd make a cute girl. (Yes, I am the opposite to a certain other person who wants to turn all the girls into boys ....)

Started classes today, so I was in the city to do a little shopping, and I discovered these LITTLE BOXES !!
They are PERFECTLY SD size props. I bought 5 Sushi packs, so let me know if there is anyone is after one. The Sushi set comes with a mat, chopsticks, bowl and plastic grass. NEAT !!
There were a handful of the Chinese caligraphy sets, (pictured with faceless and namelss) and the rest are pretty much the same scale. The Takeout for Two set has 2 paper lanterns, chopsticks, holders, paper fortunes, lanterns and placemats.
UPDATE: Extra takeout gone, but I'll see if I can get more, there were more calligraphy sets, but I'll have to make sure. 3 Sushi packs left.
 
I picked up a body art box, as twigling was looking for temp tatoos. I'm sure we will play more at the next Sydney Dollparty ...
And for some fun, thanks to helene_in_melbo, we got the same result, I'm happy with that.

I managed to have some time to myself (before the big move), which I used to finish off a few face ups.
Nothing too major, as only Anzumae was from scratch, and the rest were minor adjustments.
I wasn't really going for it, but looks like Anzumae is the glam girl !! Zalem just got top lashes, but he looks more complete. LOVE his smokey grey eyes.

Morgan got new lilac eyes, darker lashes, and I got rid of the shading around her mouth.
Tomoyo got some minor adjustments, I raised the line at the corner of her eye, and changed her mouth shape, and added a more eyeshadow, and lashes. I got rid of her cheek blush too, I asked for pink, and was surprised to find shades of brown in there as well, LOVE Volk's attention to detail. Here is a picture of the make up before:-

I found out last week that my Fashion Boots had made it into a magazine, called Footwear News.
I was really excited, and couldn't wait to see. The TAFE course had a copy, but it was stolen on enrollment day, all that was left was a colour copy.
This week, the Shoe Fair was on, and the editors of the magazine were there, so I finally managed to get a hold of my own copy. I chatted to the woman there who was the one who did the article, and said she didn't recognize me from the night, she was stunned that none of the 2nd year students were invited, even though most of the shoes on display were ours.
So she took a photo of me then and there (ick) and said that there will be a credit in the next magazine for the boots .... neat.
The cover, one day I'll make it on there :).
The article mainly talks about the courses available at TAFE, and what some of the past students are doing. There were no current students of either Millinery or Footwear production mentioned, no credits as to who's hats/shoes were used, or anything. The closest thing were Sophie's shoes, who had her name plate in the photo.
